SUMMER 'O8

In the first month in the afternoons I met my friends and we went to "la draga". We also sometimes went to the beach.
In August I and my family went to Cadaqués. In Cadaqués we went to the beach and shopping.
In the last days of the summer, I did my holiday homework and I prepared school.
I enjoyed a lot this summer because I stayed a lot with my friends!

BUYING A PHONE

Gemma: Hello, ticket connect. How can I help you?
Sílvia: Oh, hi. I'm phoning about ticket for Madonna.
Gemma: Yes, can you tell me the date and place?
Sílvia: Yes, are there any tickets for the concert in U.S.A on the 24th of January?
Gemma: Yes, we've got tickets for that.
Sílvia: Great. How much are they.
Gemma: They're all $17.
Sílvia: Ok. Can I have four tickets please?
Gemma: Yes, of course I'll nedd your name, address and a credit card number please?
Sílvia: Ok, right. Just a moment...Mum!

CHOOSING FROM A MENU

Gemma: So what are you going to have, Sílvia?
Sílvia: I'm not sure. The tropical looks good.
Gemma: What's that?
Sílvia: That's a pizza with ham and pineapple.
Gemma: Mmm. That sounds tasty. Well, I'm going to have the pasta and tuna salad.
Waiter: Hi. Are you ready to order?
Gemma: Erm, yes. Can we have a Tropical and a pasta an tuna salad, please?
Waiter: One Tropical and one pasta an tuna salad. Thanks very much.

ASKING FOR INFORMATION

Sílvia: Excuse me. Can you help me? I'm looking for the Banyoles lake.
Gemma: Ah, yes, the Banyoles lake is at Banyoles. Do you know the village?
Sílvia: Not really, no.
Gemma: Let me show you on the map. It's here, look.
Sílvia: OK. Great. And where's the best place to meet a friends?
Gemma: Erm, there's a good place here, in "Draga"
Silvia: Is that far from here?
Gemma: No, it's about ten minutes by bike.
Sílvia: OK, great. Thanks very much.

I'm writing this email from Hawaii. The weather is really hot at the moment but Ireally like it here because the people are most friendly. We're driving around the country and we're stopping in different places.
We've just arrived here in capital. In the last few days we've driven from beautiful forests and we've seen the sea. So far I've the last really enjoyed the food and we haven't had any bad experiences.
Tonight we're staying in a city. Tomorrow we're going to leave the ferry here and we're going to travel by train through the volcano. It should be fun.

SLEEPY HOLLOW

In a strange village called sleepy hollow there were some assassinations. The victims appeared decapitated.
The murder was a ghost without head dominated by a witch. The ghost was a soldier thief some years ago. Finally, a young detective Ichabod Crean. Discovers the cruel witch and he breaks the enchantment hanging peace to sleepy hollow. Ichabod falls in love with Katrina. Finally Katrina and Ichabod get married.
